Techub News reports that, according to La Nación, Argentine crypto platform Lemon announced the launch of the country's first Bitcoin-backed VISA credit card. Users can obtain peso-denominated credit without a bank account or credit history, and without selling Bitcoin. In the initial phase, users staking 0.01 Bitcoin (worth approximately $900) can receive a credit limit of 1,000,000 pesos. Bitcoin is used as collateral and is locked but not exchanged for the local currency. Lemon also stated that future plans include allowing customization of collateral ratio and credit limit, and supporting stablecoins such as USDC and USDT for USD payments.
