Recently experienced ten blockchain phones powered by the Solana network, and some findings are quite interesting.

The current controversy over pre-installed apps is essentially a mismatch between traditional hardware thinking and the understanding of the crypto industry. For smartphone manufacturers, pre-installation is a standard part of business cooperation—just like Android devices come with Google suite pre-installed; but the crypto community sees it as a sign of industry breakthrough, raising expectations to the max. As a result, once officially announced, it easily leads to over-interpretation.

In actual testing, the real experience of these phones falls far short of expectations. Solana wallet integration, transaction speed, and app experience are still in the early stages, far from being "disruptive." Users are most concerned with basic functions—wallet security, transfer costs, the variety of supported tokens—not a specific pre-installed app.

I believe a more pragmatic approach is: blockchain phones need to find real application scenarios rather than relying on pre-installation to generate hype. Some applications in the Sei ecosystem are indeed well adapted to mobile, but the key is to make users actually use them, not just have them installed.
