The Trump administration's military actions against Venezuela angered Democrats, with several lawmakers proposing to impeach Trump

According to Axios News on the US, on the 3rd local time, the Trump administration's unilateral attack on Venezuela and the detention of the country's president Maduro angered US Democrats. Some lawmakers are calling for the impeachment of President Trump.
Reportedly, Illinois Democratic Representative Delia Ramirez stated in a release, "Trump must be impeached," and called for legislation to limit the government's war powers. California Democratic Representative Jared Huffman said that Trump's plan is "completely crazy" and "disastrous."
He told Axios News, "We are now within the scope of the (Constitution's) 25th Amendment." This clause involves the procedures for suspending the duties of the US President. Axios News reports that although the Democrats did not push for Trump's impeachment in 2025, the discussion within the party about impeachment is gradually heating up as more lawmakers demand tougher measures. The actions of the Trump administration against Venezuela seem to have further fueled this sentiment.
