During Christmas, the US stock market is closed, and the crypto market has been consolidating for nearly a month. In the short term, lacking new catalysts, the direction may need to wait a bit longer.

From several perspectives: market sentiment has entered a panic cycle, with many long positions trapped; the long-short ratio is unbalanced, and the volume needed for a rebound is terrifying. According to usual patterns, without sufficient trading volume support, the market will typically continue in its original downward direction.

Logically, the most likely move is to continue testing downward, wiping out most of the long liquidity, before a rebound can be initiated. The 90,000 level has been tested many times above but has not broken through, which indicates greater downward pressure.

In terms of trading strategy, I am currently mainly shorting Ethereum. Why? Because there are many trapped positions, and liquidity is ample during declines, making it easier to realize profits. Bitcoin is temporarily on hold; unless a clear bottom-fishing opportunity appears later, I am not in a hurry to participate in the rebound.

Still sideways and frustrating, really, without a catalyst it's just torment. Wait, is shorting Ethereum really more stable than shorting Bitcoin? Tried 90,000 times and still can't break through, feels like there's more room below. The bulls are indeed trapped now, serves them right. It's right to stay on the sidelines for now, don't rush or you'll just be the next to get caught. Ample liquidity makes it easy to cash out, I’ve learned this trick. What’s wrong with taking a break during Christmas? Why do you have to watch the market? Ethereum really can't outperform this wave; just short it if you want. Is there any big event or are we just waiting like this? The trading volume can't go up, so what’s the point of a rebound? Most bulls need to be knocked out before it can rebound? Been in consolidation for so long, I really can't hold on anymore. Still waiting for a catalyst. A rebound without volume is just a false rebound. I've seen this trick too many times. Shorting ETH is more reliable. I'm also watching Bitcoin, waiting for that bottom-fishing signal. If 90,000 can't be broken, then keep going down. The bulls have been beaten pretty badly. Act when liquidity is sufficient—that's what it means to be alive.
