Every year around Christmas, Bitcoin's price performance attracts a lot of attention. Let's review how this largest crypto asset has performed during the Christmas season over the past decade.
Starting in 2013, BTC was priced at $666 during Christmas. In the following years, the price fluctuated significantly—dropping to $323 in 2014, hitting a historical low, and then slightly rebounding to $455 in 2015.
A turning point occurred in 2016, when BTC rose to $899 during Christmas, followed by a long-term upward cycle. In 2017, it reached $13,926, a year also celebrated as the "bull year" for crypto assets. However, 2018 saw a sharp correction, dropping to $4,079.
By 2019 and 2020, Bitcoin started to strengthen, hovering around $7,323 and $23,736 respectively. 2021 was even more remarkable—the Christmas price surged to $50,822.
In 2022, it experienced a significant pullback to $16,822, but the market did not stop there. In 2023, it rebounded to $43,665, and in 2024, it hit a new high near $94,120. Entering 2025, although there was some correction, it still remained around $87,809.
From $666 to nearly $90,000, this range reflects a history shaped by market cycles, policy changes, institutional entry, and other intertwined factors.

From 666 to 90,000, this wave of increase is truly incredible. Who could have imagined it back then?

666 to 90,000. I went all-in when it was over 13,000 in 2017, then woke up in 2018 to find it liquidated. A thousand gold can't buy foresight, brother.

From 666 to 90,000, this span... Bro, I didn't even catch the peak in 2017. Looking at this ledger now, I just feel heartbroken. To be honest, it's just a cycle of gambling. During the 2022 plunge, I went all-in and got caught, and later I managed to recover by farming airdrops.
