Did you hear someone say that there is a general amnesty for credit defaults? I don't think that's the case.

On December 22, the People's Bank of China issued a notice to implement a one-time credit repair policy aimed at helping individuals with non-malicious overdue payments to rebuild their credit.

I have organized the core information in the image for easy saving ⬇️

From the rigid thresholds of "time" and "amount", this credit repair is quite intriguing.

- The overdue must occur between 2020 and 2025.
- And the single transaction amount does not exceed 10,000 yuan.

It is evident that the long-term malicious defaulters are not included in this rectification.

It is reasonable to speculate that the main subject of the repair is "college students who have graduated or are currently enrolled and have been impacted by the pandemic."

This group of people encountered an economic downturn as soon as they entered society, with several thousand yuan in overdue Huabei or credit card payments, which made them blacklisted in credit reporting.

But what will be the consequence if this group of post-95s and post-00s is blocked from the financial system because of this small amount of money? They will completely lose their qualification to use "leverage".

I believe this is the most hidden and also the core logic of this policy.

- Activating dormant accounts: For banks, a young person with 5000 yuan in bad debt is considered a dead account; but if this 5000 yuan is wiped out, he instantly transforms into a high-quality individual capable of taking on a 30-year mortgage.

- Clear the credit barriers: What the country needs is not that you can pay back this ten thousand yuan, but that you have the ability to borrow again. Only by cleaning up your credit record can the doors to car loans, home loans, and consumer loans be opened again.

Therefore, understanding its essence, this is still a supporting policy aimed at stimulating consumption and housing demand.
