The Solana network is currently experiencing a massive DDoS attack that has been ongoing for over a week, according to SolanaFloor.
The attack has reached 6 Tbps. The incident is the fourth most powerful in history, ranking alongside attacks on Google Cloud, Cloudflare, and AWS infrastructure. Despite the volume of incoming traffic, the blockchain continues to process transactions normally, something that previously seemed impossible.
Project founder Anatoly Yakovenko called the situation and the blockchain's reaction "bullish": "Someone is spending as much on sending bits as the network is earning," he wrote.
