In China, the generation that loved children the most has raised the generation that "loves" parents the least: those born in the 70s and 80s who are afraid to speak loudly to their parents, and now, this same generation is afraid to speak loudly to their children. As children, they tiptoed around, and as adults, they tiptoe around their parents. There are stubborn elders above and rebellious children below. As children, they didn't dare have a rebellious phase; in middle age, they dare not face unemployment; in old age, they dare not experience menopause. We will undoubtedly be the last generation to "be filial" to our parents, and also the first generation to be "abandoned" by women.
