Stay away from those who speak harshly and sarcastically. Their meanness is not a harmless mistake but a true reflection of their inner selves. Words are the echo of thoughts. Don't believe in excuses like "sharp-tongued but soft-hearted." Behind mean words often lies a sharp heart. Genuine reminders and malicious insults are fundamentally different. When someone repeatedly wounds you with words, it has nothing to do with goodwill anymore. What you should be more wary of is people who habitually hurt you with their words. They often subconsciously do not give you the respect you deserve. Take a close look—do they treat their superiors or respectful people with the same attitude? Those teasing jokes with hidden barbs are essentially a way of selectively releasing their negative emotions, a form of soft violence that tests boundaries. When faced with uncomfortable verbal attacks, establishing boundaries is not overreacting. Responding with a firm attitude is the best form of self-protection.
