a16z just dropped part one of their yearly "Big Ideas" forecast, and honestly, it's packed with some solid takes. This round covers insights from their Infrastructure, Growth, Bio + Health, and Speedrun squads.
They're splitting the release into two parts this year. Tomorrow we'll get predictions from the American Dynamism and Apps teams. Pretty curious what those folks are betting on for the next cycle.
Always interesting to see what one of crypto's biggest backers thinks is coming down the pipeline.

The infrastructure part is indeed impressive, but we're still waiting for the bomb from the American Dynamism team.

a16z has begun to enlarge the move again, this time in two parts, a bit of a deliberate appetite

This time a16z is releasing in two parts, keeping us in suspense. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see the apps team’s release—looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

You have to look at a16z's predictions every year, just to figure out what the big capital is really betting on.

honestly their infrastructure takes are always sub-optimal on gas efficiency metrics... like if you actually analyze the mempool data, most of their base layer optimization predictions completely miss the priority fee differentials that matter

a16z is trying to hype us up again, but to be honest, this prediction is actually quite insightful.
