I can still understand someone getting kidnapped in South Africa.
What I can't understand is why he wasn't taken away? They only asked for three million—even though most people might think that's a lot, if a whole group prepared for half a year to target a boss who's likely got over a hundred million in savings, and they only asked for three million. It's just bizarre, and I can't really make sense of it.
Then there's this whole thing with threats involving nude photos, saliva, hair, etc.—what's the point of that for the kidnappers?
Are you supposed to go to the police in China later and say Blue Zhanfei raped you?
Even though I don't want to speculate maliciously, it just seems absurd that they went through all this trouble to kidnap Blue Zhanfei, only took a few million, and then sent him back to China.
If it was a real kidnapping and even the hotel was in on it, the likeliest scenario would be to just put Blue Zhanfei in a suitcase, take him to their base, beat and torture him to get all his money, and then destroy the evidence. But now they just took a few million and released an influencer with such a huge following, causing such a big stir—it's just nonsense.
