In the past, going out for drinks meant being meticulous from head to toe—hair accessories, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, everything had to match. I would even spend an hour putting on makeup.
Now, when I go out for drinks, I just grab whatever clothes are on hand and wear whatever I pick up. If I'm too lazy to wash my hair, I just throw on a hat—just like a migrant worker heading into the city.
No wonder the people at the next table said to me: "Ma'am, could you please clear away the bottles?" 🙃
