Social media platform "X" has been fined 120 million euros by the European Union for violating content regulations. The European Commission stated that X violated three provisions of the Digital Services Act, giving X 60 days to provide a solution and 90 days to implement corrective measures. The EU's decision targets issues with X's blue check verification, lack of advertising transparency, and researchers' access to data. The EU's technology chief said that imposing the maximum fine on X was not the EU's intention; the amount of this fine is appropriate and is based on the nature of the violations and the impact on EU users.
