Bitcoin hits $100,000: Historic milestone and what's really happening

On December 5, 2025, Bitcoin (BTC) officially surpassed the $100,000 mark for the first time in history, reaching a new peak of around $103,900 before a slight correction to the $101,000–$102,000 range (depending on the exchange). From the bottom of $15,500 in November 2022 until now, BTC has increased more than 6.7 times in just 3 years. This is no longer the “100k dream”—it has become a reality.
