One problem Startups in Europe face besides the high regulatory burden and little VC capital is the very inefficient capital markets, every country has their own stock exchange which splits capital and attention.
Founders in the US can win because of 100x the VC money but also a clear path to strong IPOs.
Even strong European fintechs like @Klarna will IPO on the NYSE - the New York Stock Exchange - because that's where the money is at.
If Europe wants to have ANY say with China / USA the only way is to have united capital markets, united interests and less regulation.
