Turkmenistan has officially legalized the crypto industry.
President Serdar Berdymukhamedov signed the law "On Virtual Assets", which legalizes the operation of cryptocurrency exchanges and mining companies.
The document recognizes digital assets as objects of civil rights, but not as a means of payment, and the oversight of the industry will be taken over by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
