Europe's largest asset management company Amundi has launched its first tokenized fund, completing its first transaction on Ethereum.

Abstract generation in progress

[Bitu] European asset management giant Amundi recently made a big move - they have tokenized their euro money market fund. This is their first attempt at this kind of play.

Now this fund has two forms: those who want the traditional version can continue to use the traditional one, and those who want to experience the on-chain version can go directly to Ethereum. On November 4th, the first transaction has already been successfully completed on the ETH network.

This matter is done in collaboration with the European asset service provider CACEIS. They are responsible for providing a complete set of tokenization infrastructure—from investor wallets to a digital order system for subscription and redemption, a one-stop service.

What are the benefits of moving funds on-chain? Orders are processed faster, more investors can be reached, and most importantly, trading can happen 24/7 without having to stick to trading hours. The combination of traditional finance and blockchain is just beginning.

Wow, Amundi's move is really aggressive; the ability to trade 24 hours without waiting for the market close should have been implemented long ago.

ngl this is literally the farm-to-fork verification of traditional finance... finally bringing transparency to asset settlement like we do with michelin-star provenance chains. amundi just proved you can tokenize anything if you have the right smart contract recipe lol

Finally, a major institution dares to take the plunge, but Amundi is playing this move cautiously.

Wow, large institutions are finally starting to take tokenization seriously, and now TradFi really can't sit still. Hmm? I just want to ask, is this system secure? Has it been audited? 24-hour trading sounds great, but can the gas fees not be too outrageous... It's Amundi and CACEIS again; these people in Europe are just rich and willful. Wait, does this mean that the Ethereum ecosystem has added another heavyweight player? It's really happening; the era of integration between traditional finance and blockchain is starting to get interesting.

Now even traditional giants are rushing to go on-chain, it's really going to make TradFi panic.
