A few days ago, I listened to the latest episode of Fu Peng's podcast discussing Lao Deng and Xiao Deng. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of accumulation and being a prepared person when giving advice to young people.

When I was young, I didn't understand the phrases that the old Deng emphasized, but now, as I grow older and gain more experience, I can increasingly understand those concepts that I didn't grasp in my childhood.

What does it mean to be a prepared person?
For example, if you go to bed early and get up early to exercise every day, when there are opportunities in your career and major projects that require you to put in a lot of time, you will be the one who is physically prepared, as your good health allows you to work 20 hours a day, while others are done after 8 hours.
For example, you have liked history since you were young, while others were playing, you were immersed in historical books and couldn't extricate yourself. Twenty years later, in the era of online literature, you grew up to become the author of "Those Things About the Ming Dynasty". With the advent of the era of self-media, you became an excellent history blogger on a curated platform, enjoying a million followers.
Take another example, are people like Master Bao Li Xiaolai really just lucky? Master Bao has been continuously trying and accumulating in the speculation business since childhood. When the big opportunity of blockchain came, those who had been experimenting in the speculation business since a young age could seize it, while ordinary people could not.

We cannot think of success as luck, believing that we lack opportunities but not abilities. In fact, when opportunities arise, it's too late to make a last-minute effort; if you didn't seize the opportunity, it just shows that you weren't prepared. True luck is the disguise of those who are ready.
