"Dream of the Red Chamber" tells you how terrible the upper class is, "Jin Ping Mei" tells you how depraved the middle and lower classes are, "Water Margin" tells you how false brotherhood can be, and "Journey to the West" tells you that no matter how great your abilities are, you still have to use connections to get ahead. The reason classic literature is considered classic is that it exposes human nature thoroughly. The way to make a vicious dog not dare to bite you is not to feed it meat to please it, nor to avoid it, but to wield a stick in your left hand and a knife in your right; if it doesn't comply, you just take it out. A person's awakening relies 1% on others' reminders and 99% on brutal experiences. What truly matures a person is not age, but experiences. Teaching someone is ineffective, but teaching once through events is enough. Suffering is like eating; if you eat too much, you grow up. May we have already bumped into the southern wall, forgotten the story, and that enduring it leads to spring."
