What is rollover?

In a trending market, after making significant profits using leverage, due to the passive decline of overall leverage, to achieve the effect of compound profit, it is necessary to increase the trend position at the appropriate time. This process of increasing the position is called rollover.

Share two rollover operation methods:
Floating profit increase: After obtaining a floating profit, you can consider increasing your position. However, before increasing your position, you need to ensure that the holding cost has been lowered to reduce the risk of loss. This does not mean to blindly increase your position after making a profit, but rather to do so at the appropriate time.

Base position + rollover trading operation: Divide the funds into multiple parts, keeping a portion of the base position unchanged while using another portion for high sell low buy operations. The specific ratio can be selected based on individual risk preference and fund scale. For example, one can choose to roll over with half a position, 30% base position, or 70% base position, etc. This operation can reduce holding costs and increase profits.

It is best to only roll long; rolling over to short is a high-risk behavior. When trading, you should have a reasonable stop-loss level, and once it goes against the trend and expectations, you should stop loss in a timely manner. Similarly, do not think about being at the peak every time; an appropriate take-profit level can protect your profits.
