Due to China's lack of respect for the global market, I hereby raise the tariffs imposed by the United States on China to 125%, effective immediately. At some point, I hope that China will realize that the days of exploiting the United States and other countries are no longer sustainable or acceptable. On the contrary, given that more than 75 countries have called on U.S. representatives, including the Department of Commerce, the Department of the Treasury, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, to negotiate on the issues of trade, trade barriers, tariffs, currency manipulation, and non-tariff barriers currently under discussion, and based on my strong recommendation, these countries have not retaliated against the United States in any way or form, I have authorized a 90-day suspension.
