Eon Systems demonstrated a closed-loop system that drives physical simulation of the body through whole-brain emulation. It achieved a brain model built from connectome data of fruit flies driving the natural behavior of virtual fruit flies in the MuJoCo engine. This model performed excellently in predictive experimental observations, showcasing the importance of connectomes for brain function. The future goal is to achieve whole-brain emulation for mice and humans.
