Solana Foundation Chair: Drift attack was caused by human error, not a smart contract vulnerability

BlockBeatNews

BlockBeats message, April 2, Solana Foundation Chair Lily Liu posted, saying, “The Drift incident has far-reaching impact, affecting the entire ecosystem. The Drift team is investigating and containing the situation around the clock, and we are also doing our best to provide support. The smart contracts themselves have stood up to the test. The real targets of the current attacks are ‘people’—more so vulnerabilities in social engineering and operational security, rather than code-level exploitation.

Solana has repeatedly come out of difficult times and moved forward through faster iteration, better building, mutual support, and improving security. Stay vigilant, check your security settings, and keep building. If there are any new developments, we will continue to post updates.”
