Iran Refutes Trump's "15-Point Ceasefire Agreement": This is a US Wishlist That Cannot Be Obtained Through Attacks, Another Trump Lie

According to Xinhua News Agency, the Iranian government has officially responded to Trump’s “15-Point Ceasefire Agreement.” Hazratli, chairman of the Iranian Government Information Committee, bluntly stated that the agreement is just another “lie” from Trump, aimed at listing the U.S. side’s wishes that cannot be achieved through war.
(Background: Foreign media reports reveal Trump’s proposed U.S.-Iran “15-Point Peace Plan”: Iran must fully abandon nuclear weapons in exchange for sanctions relief; is there a turning point in Middle East tensions?)
(Additional context: Brent crude oil drops below $95, Trump claims Iran has surrendered; Iran refutes this, saying it’s not true.)

After U.S. President Trump and foreign media repeatedly signaled that “negotiations are progressing smoothly,” Tehran finally issued a very strong denial. According to Xinhua, citing the Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA) on March 25, Hazratli, head of the Iranian Government Information Committee, made an official comment on the recently leaked 15-Point Ceasefire Plan.

Hazratli: The “wish list” listed by the enemy is “unrealizable”

In an interview, Hazratli sharply criticized the U.S. proposal. He pointed out that the so-called 15 ceasefire points are targets that the enemy (the U.S.) cannot achieve through military attacks. He directly labeled this as Trump’s political manipulation:

“The 15 ceasefire points proposed by the United States to Iran are just another ‘lie’ from President Trump, and we ‘do not need to pay attention’ to them.”

Geopolitical game: The true and false of the “5-day window”

Currently, the Middle East situation is shrouded in a fog of information warfare. Previously leaked details of the 15-point plan include:

  • Nuclear restrictions: Iran must dismantle all nuclear facilities and never pursue nuclear weapons.
  • Control of shipping lanes: The Strait of Hormuz should be defined as a “free sea” under joint management.
  • Proxy support cut: Cease support for groups like Hezbollah and Hamas.

Trump based his announcement of a 5-day pause on this plan to attack Iran’s energy facilities. However, Hazratli’s latest response indicates that Iran’s top leadership not only rejects the plan but also does not recognize it as a “formal negotiation.” This extreme asymmetry of information adds to the fog over the U.S.-Iran battlefield.
