Pi Network (PI) has officially launched the first version of Pi Launchpad as a Pi App on Testnet, using a test token on March 16. Notably, the development team confirmed that this token launch mechanism is completely different from traditional Web3 launchpad models.
According to the Pi Core Team, the deployment on Testnet aims to help Pioneers familiarize themselves with the operational process before the official Mainnet launch. Pi Launchpad is built based on Design 1 of the PiRC framework—a open-source proposal system introduced by Pi on the occasion of the Open Network launch anniversary.
Although reaching an important milestone in product development, the market has not yet shown positive signals from investors. The price of PI is currently trading at $0.201, down 8.9% over the past week. The Testnet launch marks a significant step forward for Pi in building a complete token ecosystem. However, whether this event is enough to change investor sentiment and expectations remains an unanswered question.
