OpenAI's Major Strategy: ChatGPT May Launch Sora Video AI, Accelerating the Era of Generative Video

GateNews

On March 11, sources revealed that OpenAI plans to integrate Sora video generation AI into its chatbot ChatGPT. This move is seen as an important step in the company’s strategic upgrade of its artificial intelligence products. If launched, users will be able to generate AI video content directly within ChatGPT, enhancing platform interaction and usage frequency, but it may also increase computing resources and operational costs.

Sora is OpenAI’s video generation model. About five months ago, the company released the Sora mobile app, allowing users to quickly create short videos featuring people, animals, or creative scenes. Its interface style is similar to short video platform TikTok. However, the app’s overall market influence remains limited.

Industry insiders believe that embedding Sora’s video generation capabilities into ChatGPT could further promote the development of the AI content creation ecosystem and strengthen OpenAI’s competitive edge in generative artificial intelligence. (The Information)
