Russia's Savings Bank, TBank, and Tochka Bank join the digital ruble pilot

Golden Finance reported that Sberbank, TBank, and Tochka Bank of the Russian Federation have become participants in the pilot program using digital ruble for transactions. Previously, a total of 12 Financial Institutions participated in the pilot: Alfa-Bank, DOM.RF Bank, Ingosstrakh Bank, VTB, Gazprombank, Ak Bars Bank, MTS Bank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank, Sinara Bank, TKB Bank, and Russian Agricultural Bank. They have signed a protocol with the Central Bank of Russia and are configuring the system to participate in the project. It is expected that the widespread use of digital ruble will gradually begin from July 1, 2025.
