Traders faced losses with a $220.7 million liquidation of long positions in the crypto market when the price of Bitcoin fell below $65,000. Additionally, $32 million worth of short positions were also liquidated. The drop in Bitcoin's price also caused significant losses in the US market, as the Nasdaq 100 index experienced its sharpest decline since October 2022. Selling in technology stocks was triggered by disappointing earnings reports from major companies such as Alphabet and Tesla.
