The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released data showing that in the first quarter, telecommunications service revenue totaled 439.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.8%. Calculated at constant prices from the previous year, the total telecommunications volume increased by 8.3% year-on-year. As of the end of March, the total number of mobile phone users for the three basic telecom enterprises and China Broadcasting Network reached 1.84B, a net increase of 9.2M compared to the end of the previous year. Among them, 5G mobile phone users reached 1.25B, a net increase of 49.53 million from the end of last year, accounting for 68.3% of mobile phone users.
