Tennessee Signs Statewide Ban on Bitcoin ATMs, With Enforcement Starting July 1

Tennessee signed HB 2505 to ban Bitcoin ATM operations statewide, with violations treated as a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail and a $2,500 fine. Enforcement starts July 1, and merchants that allow the machines on their premises can also face legal liability.
