Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghazi Arrives in Pakistan
On the evening of the 24th local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian arrived at Nohar Khan Air Force Base in Pakistan. Earlier that day, Iran confirmed that Abdollahian would begin a regional visit on the evening of the 24th, traveling to Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, the Omani capital Muscat, and Russia’s capital Moscow. According to Iranian sources, the purpose of Abdollahian’s trip is to conduct bilateral consultations, discuss current regional developments, and assess the latest situation regarding U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran. The reports state that there are no negotiations with the United States scheduled during Abdollahian’s current visit, and his trip to Islamabad is not for negotiations with the U.S. either. Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari spoke with Abdollahian by phone on the 24th. Bhutto Zardari said that to promote regional peace and stability as soon as possible, both the U.S. and Iran must continue dialogue and engagement to resolve outstanding issues. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that Abdollahian also spoke with Pakistani Army Chief of Staff Munir on the same day. @CCTV News@
