The Korea-Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce was officially inaugurated in Seoul on April 2, with over 200 representatives from the political, business, and overseas Chinese communities from China and South Korea attending the event. Chargé d’affaires and Consul General Zhong Hongnuo from the Chinese Embassy in South Korea delivered a congratulatory speech at the founding ceremony. He emphasized that Shenzhen is an important window for China’s reform and opening-up and a benchmark city for innovative development, with great potential for cooperation with South Korea in digital economy, green industries, intelligent manufacturing, and other fields. He believed that the Chamber will seize the historical opportunity, act proactively, and play a greater role in promoting China-South Korea economic and trade cooperation and fostering friendly exchanges between the two countries. During the founding ceremony, the guest of honor jointly unveiled the chamber. Founding President Zheng Zhaohui stated that in the future, the chamber will focus on key areas such as investment promotion, industrial matching, and technological innovation to promote multi-level and multi-field cooperation between Shenzhen and South Korea, while actively serving the overall national strategy of opening up to the outside world, consolidating resources of Korean-based enterprises, and promoting mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
