Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency reported on the 24th that Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport said that the largest airport in the Iranian capital will gradually resume international flights to Istanbul, Turkey, Muscat, Oman, and Beijing, China, starting from the 25th.
Airport Public Relations Director Ahura Mohammadi said the first flight to Istanbul will be operated by Iran Air and will depart at 6:45 a.m. local time on the 25th;
the flight to Muscat will be operated by Sepehran Airlines and will depart at 11:00;
the flight to Beijing will be operated by Mahan Airlines and is scheduled to depart at 6:50 a.m.
After the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran on February 28, Iran closed its airspace, and civil aviation operations nationwide were interrupted.
On April 18, Iran reopened eastern airspace, allowing international flights to take off and land, and some other airports are gradually resuming passenger flights.
Iran’s civil aviation authorities stated that once the military and civil departments complete technical and operational preparations, flight services at all Iranian airports will gradually return to normal.
On the 23rd, the Chinese Embassy in Iran posted a message on its website, once again reminding Chinese citizens not to travel to Iran for the time being.
The embassy said that Iran has opened some airspace, but the regional situation remains highly uncertain, and Iran’s security situation is still complex and volatile.
