Dubai is really going big, I just saw that they want to integrate cryptocurrency payments into government services. Through a certain partnership platform, citizens can pay for utilities, parking fees, and more with digital assets, which are then automatically converted into the local currency. Interestingly, these cryptocurrency payments will ultimately be converted into UAE Dirhams before entering the government accounts, so system compatibility isn't a concern. I heard this is the first time globally that crypto payments are directly used at the government level. Dubai is aiming for a cashless transaction goal by 2026, planning to make 90% of transactions cashless by then. The policy environment for cryptocurrencies in Dubai is indeed quite favorable, with regulatory frameworks continuously improving over the past few years. I'm curious about how this plan will unfold once implemented. If it goes smoothly, will other places also need to follow suit?
