The statement pointed out that some individuals associated with the Iraqi government are still providing “political, economic, and operational support” to these militia groups. The statement said that Iraqi airspace has been reopened, and some commercial flights have resumed. U.S. citizens planning to travel to Iraq should be aware that there is still a risk of missile, drone, and rocket attacks within Iraq. The statement reminded U.S. citizens that the travel advisory level for Iraq has been raised to the highest level, Level 4, and stated, “Under no circumstances should you travel to Iraq.
