Report Reveals 360 AI Vulnerability Agent Discovers Nearly 1,000 Unknown Vulnerabilities, Competing with Mythos

According to monitoring by Beating, Bloomberg cited a report by Eugenio Benincasa, a senior researcher at the Security Research Center of ETH Zurich, stating that the Chinese cybersecurity company 360 Digital Security Group has recently announced the development of an AI-driven ‘Vulnerability Discovery Agent’ that has identified nearly 1,000 previously unknown software vulnerabilities, including those in Microsoft Office and the open-source AI agent framework OpenClaw. The report, published by Natto Thoughts, which focuses on cybersecurity research in China, reviewed a series of recent announcements from 360 in Chinese. 360 claims that AI has ‘evolved from an auxiliary tool to the core engine of vulnerability discovery’ and earlier this year announced the development of AI tools to accelerate the construction of exploit chains, which are prerequisites for infiltrating target computers. Benincasa believes that 360 is positioning itself as a direct competitor to Anthropic’s Mythos.
