Harley-Davidson bikes recalled over fears rear brakes could completely fail

Harley-Davidson has issued a major recall for 16,994 Softail models from model years 2025-2026, including the Heritage Classic, Street Bob, Low Rider S, and Low Rider ST. The recall addresses a defect where the rear brake line could contact the bike’s onboard computer, potentially leading to a loss of brake fluid and complete braking failure. Owners will be notified starting May 18, and Harley-Davidson will replace the computer caddy and inspect/replace the brake line as needed.
