In 2021, crypto companies rapidly expanded their reach through sports and cultural sponsorships, but the FTX collapse exposed reputation and compliance risks, prompting the industry to shift toward more cautious, ROI-focused partnership models. Recently, Coinbase and others have been paying sponsorships with stablecoins, attempting to reshape mainstream narratives. Overall, sponsorships bring short-term traffic, but in the long term, they face risks related to disclosure and regulatory pressure (such as MiCA), and there remains a gap in commercial cooperation.
