Crack down on prominent issues of fake certificates and counterfeit products in the jewelry and jadeite sectors; two departments take strong action

Today, the Market Supervision Administration and the Ministry of Public Security jointly issued a notice, deploying a nationwide joint law enforcement campaign to crack down on counterfeit and fake sources in the traditional crafts market. The focus is on tackling prominent issues such as fake certificates, fake organizations, fake products, and fake websites in fields like jewelry and jade, precious metals accessories, and rosewood products. In response to current problems in the traditional crafts market, including forging, altering, and buying and selling inspection and testing reports, using false certificates for deceptive marketing, as well as mixing, adulterating, and substituting inferior products, this joint operation will strengthen systemic governance and source control, with a heavy hand to rectify industry chaos.
