I just saw news that a Bitcoin mining company called CleanSpark sold 97% of their Bitcoin production last month. The reason? They want to focus on AI, apparently. So basically, they sold almost all the Bitcoin they mined to raise funds for pivoting their strategy.
It's interesting, meaning the Bitcoin mining industry is starting to shift. Not just holding Bitcoin anymore, but looking for opportunities in other sectors. Maybe this is a trend that many other companies will follow? Or are they just riding the AI hype? I don't know, but this move is quite bold for a company whose core business is mining.
What do you think? Do you see this as a good strategy or rather risky? I'm just curious about the long-term impact.
