Tron TRON Proposal No. 106 has been officially approved, further enhancing TVM and Ethereum compatibility
ME News Report, April 12 (UTC+8), according to official sources, the TRON network has officially passed Proposal No. 106 on April 10 at 20:00.
According to the proposal, the mainnet has completed adjustments to the SELFDESTRUCT instruction behavior and execution cost: the contract will only be truly removed from the chain if this instruction is called within the same transaction that creates the contract; in other cases, executing this instruction will only transfer assets within the contract to a specified address, and the contract itself will not be deleted.
Additionally, the energy consumption of SELFDESTRUCT has been adjusted from 0 to 5000.
This adjustment further aligns TRON’s mechanisms with Ethereum, helping to continuously improve TVM (TRON Virtual Machine) compatibility, and providing a more stable underlying support for multi-chain development and ecosystem adaptation.
