U.S. President Trump recently announced a five-day delay in the original attack targeting Iran’s electricity and energy infrastructure, stating that he had “good and productive” talks with Iran. According to Israeli media Ynet, citing local officials, the U.S. has set April 9th as the target date to end the war with Iran, meaning over half a month will be spent on fighting and negotiations. Washington is striving to end the conflict by the end of April.

Reports indicate that if the conflict concludes around April 9th, Trump plans to visit the region around Israel’s Independence Day on May 14th. Currently, countries like Pakistan are actively mediating, attempting to arrange indirect communication between the U.S. and Iran. Preliminary contacts may occur in Pakistan this week, but neither side has officially confirmed.

The U.S. is reportedly trying to contact Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, but Tehran has not responded. Iranian officials fully deny any negotiations, with a spokesperson for the National Security Committee of the Parliament stating, “Currently, negotiations are illogical; the opponent only understands force and missile language.” Iran’s Foreign Ministry also mentioned receiving messages from “friendly countries” but emphasized that their stance on the Strait of Hormuz remains unchanged.

Israel Expects Iran to Struggle for Large-Scale Attacks

Israeli defense officials estimate that even if fighting continues, Iran can only launch about 10 missiles per day on average, making large-scale salvos difficult. Israel has destroyed or incapacitated approximately 330 of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers (out of about 470), leaving only 100 to 150 operational.
