Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported on the 8th that Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani stated that the United States and Israel are the main factors causing regional inflation and insecurity, warning that strikes on infrastructure will inevitably be met with reciprocal responses. Larijani said that Iran has demonstrated new missile combat capabilities through tactical adjustments and asymmetric warfare in the “Real Commitment 4” operation, disrupting enemy air defense calculations in multiple rounds of action. He indicated that the phased reduction in firepower does not mean weakness but results from increased demands for “quality and precision” in operational design. “The Iron Dome missile defense system is no longer the so-called ‘Iron Dome’; we can strike anywhere we want,” Larijani said. The U.S. initially expected the conflict to end quickly, but that judgment has failed, and the situation has entered a phase of attrition, affecting the regional and even global economy. He stated that Iran does not seek a ceasefire with the aggressors but emphasizes decisive punishment. If strikes on Iran’s energy reserves and other infrastructure continue, Iran will respond equally. Larijani also criticized U.S. President Trump for making decisions based on false analysis and intelligence provided by Israel, claiming that Israel is exerting influence on the U.S. government. He said Trump has prioritized Israeli interests over “America First,” causing American soldiers and the U.S. economy to pay the price for Israel.
