The total screenings during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday reached 4.35 million, breaking the record for the holiday period, with an average ticket price of 47.8 yuan, the lowest in nearly six years. IP movies have become the main force of the schedule, such as “Flying Past Life 3” and “Boonie Bears: Year of the Bears.” China’s film industry achieved a total output value of 817.259 billion yuan in 2025, with every 1 yuan of box office revenue driving 15.77 yuan in output value. The “value” of movie tickets has increased, with a single ticket stimulating consumption chains in dining, shopping, transportation, and cultural creativity.
