Caixin March 6 — Long lines formed outside Tencent’s Shenzhen headquarters as Tencent Cloud engineers set up a free on-site booth to help users install OpenClaw (commonly known as “Lobster”) in the cloud. According to Tencent, nearly 1,000 developers and AI enthusiasts attended the event. Starting at 10 a.m., hundreds of reservation numbers were issued within an hour, and the installation process took only five minutes.

Tencent also mentioned that the participants included a nearly 70-year-old intangible cultural heritage expert, a retired aerospace engineer in his 60s, and a fourth-grade elementary school student from Shenzhen.

ByteDance’s cloud provider Volcano Engine and AI Agent platform Kuzi also hosted live sessions on March 4-5 to introduce deployment methods and usage tips for OpenClaw. Additionally, Volcano Engine will hold offline OpenClaw exchange events in Chengdu and Shanghai in mid-March. Feishu will start live broadcasts on March 6, sharing experiences on using OpenClaw every weekday evening.
