Russia claims to strike multiple Ukrainian facilities; Ukraine says it is preventing Russian deep advances

On the 7th, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian military used land-based, air-based, and sea-based long-range high-precision weapons and attack drones to carry out large-scale strikes on Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, energy infrastructure serving the Ukrainian military, and military airports. The Russian forces also targeted 149 areas including Ukrainian military transportation infrastructure and temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian and foreign mercenaries, with the air defense system shooting down 200 fixed-wing drones. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the 7th that there were 148 battles on the front lines in the past day. Ukrainian forces are preventing Russian attempts to advance deeper into Ukraine and have inflicted significant personnel and equipment losses in multiple sectors. The Ukrainian Air Force, missile units, and artillery attacked Russian personnel gathering areas, drone control points, and artillery systems, shooting down over 1,800 Russian drones.
