# Growing from Within Is the Ultimate Answer in Life

Life is inherently a solitary journey,
Yet some always live it as a copy of others.
We are busy chasing societal standards:
What age to settle down,
How much money is considered decent,
How big a house is considered stable...
Living life by the second,
Fitting ourselves into standardized molds.
It seems that a slow step means falling behind;
A little short means losing everything.
So we rush around,
Using anxiety as motivation,
Using comparison as a yardstick,
Living according to others’ expectations,
Becoming someone even we don’t recognize.
Why is external pursuit ultimately empty?
Because you have handed your “self” over to external definitions.
You tie your sense of fulfillment to a promotion notice,
Your sense of belonging to others’ approval,
Your happiness to material accumulation.
But once the trophy is in hand and the celebration ends,
The emptiness of solitude still creeps in.
Because everything outside is variable,
Things that can’t be grasped will never fill the gaps in your heart.
True inner seeking is not about lying flat and giving up,
But about pulling back your gaze from outward to inward.
It’s about asking yourself:
What do I truly want?
When do I forget fatigue and only feel joy?
I don’t have to live like someone else; I just need to be myself.
It’s about accepting your imperfections:
Admitting that you are ordinary, but also believing in your uniqueness;
Allowing yourself to slow down, but not giving up on growth;
Daring to refuse what you don’t want, and daring to pursue what you love.
Look at those who live freely and comfortably,
They may not have the “top-tier life” in societal terms,
But they always have a calm confidence.
They also have desires,
But they won’t be led by them;
They will face storms,
But always keep their own direction in mind.
We often think happiness is somewhere far away:
In an unreachable destination, in unowned possessions, in unearned recognition.
But we forget that happiness is never “found,” but “born”—
Born from your appreciation for every meal,
Born from your focus on what you love,
Born from your peace with yourself.
No matter how wide the eaves,
It’s not as spacious as your heart;
No matter how full your bag,
It’s not as rich as your inner world.
Life is never a “proof” problem,
There’s no need to prove to anyone that you’re doing well;
It should be a “self-chosen” problem,
Choose what you love, love what you choose,
And walk slowly at your own pace.
External pursuit is chasing shadows, tiring yourself out;
Inner pursuit is holding onto the roots of your heart, growing stronger and steadier.
This journey of life,
External pursuit only adds “decorations” to life, no matter how fancy, it’s superficial;
Inner pursuit builds the “foundation” of life, the more solid, the better able to withstand storms.
Pull your gaze back,
Listen to the voice inside,
Do what truly makes you happy,
Love that imperfect but unique self.
Live in the present, be at peace within,
The answers you seek have never been elsewhere,
They are only inside your heart.
