The U.S. Customs Department states that refunds of tariffs are currently not available.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection submitted a statement to the U.S. International Trade Court on the 6th, stating that due to limitations in current technology, processes, and human resources, they are currently unable to refund tariffs collected under the U.S. International Emergency Economic Powers Act as ordered by the court on the 4th. U.S. Customs and Border Protection said that as of the 4th, more than 330,000 importers had submitted over 53 million customs declarations under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and prepaid or paid tariffs, involving approximately $166 billion. The agency is facing an unprecedented volume of refund work. (Xinhua)
