Whether something can succeed has nothing to do with how hard you try. Trying too hard actually makes it easier to break. The most important thing in life is to know how to have fun. When you play, your mind relaxes, your breath smooths out, and your brain becomes clear. Scientifically, this is called dopamine; in Taoism, it is called effortless action leading to great usefulness. Treat your goals like a game—good things, bad things, and messy things all as experiences. It doesn't require effort, and instead, it sparks inspiration. Cultivation is not about holding back, but about finding the rhythm in relaxation.
