Market snapshot for today: The crypto space is showing mixed signals as we head into the trading session.
Major coins are taking a breather—Bitcoin hovering around 92.9k with a 3% pullback, while Ethereum sits at 3210 down 4%. Bitcoin dominance holding steady at 59.7%. Altcoins hit harder: BNB off 1% at 925, SOL down 7% to 133.
Spot some movement in smaller caps though—DASH, PUMP, SKY, ICP, and M leading the gains today.
On the institutional side, Bitcoin ETFs saw notable outflows hitting -$395 million, though Ethereum ETFs managed a modest +$5 million inflow. That tells you something about where the smart money is positioning right now.
Gold and silver hitting fresh all-time highs meanwhile, and tariff tensions over geopolitics keeping broader markets on edge. Worth keeping an eye on how macro headwinds play into crypto volatility over the next few days.

Institutions are running, and retail investors are still buying the dip? This logic doesn't quite hold up, haha.

On-chain data shows that this wave of outflows is quite interesting — BTC ETF net outflow of 395 million, but look at ETH, only 50 million inflow. By proportion, institutions are clearly suppressing ETH expectations. SOL dropped to 133, but I noticed that contract deployment activity actually increased, as expected.
